What we do?

HealthTIES, as a transnational consortium in medical technology, fosters true collaboration between the different stakeholders in order to contribute to an improved and sustainable healthcare system in the near future.

HealthTIES is at the forefront of the so-called “Third Revolution”. This “Third Revolution” addresses today’s challenge of how to effectively manage chronic disease in an ageing population and intends to lead to an improved and sustainable healthcare system. True collaboration between medical scientists and engineers, as well as healthcare providers, industrial partners and regional authorities is key for success.

According to this scene, HealthTIES main guidelines are:

  • Innovation in today's approach to healthcare and in medical technology to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.
  • Identification of the stakeholders and the dynamics that shape the Healthcare Innovation Cycle
  • Speed up the transfer from investigation to products available for patient treatment.
  • Definition of the working matrix, encompasing four major disease areas and three technology platforms.
  • Stimulate joint science, education and state-of-the-art infrastructure in major disease areas.
